The 2011 Volkswagen GTI is available as a two- or four-door with a 2.0-L TSI®, 16-valve DOHC in-line 4-cylinder turbocharged engine with intercooler and FSI® direct fuel injection. Standard transmission for the GTI is a 6-speed manual, though a 6-speed DSG automatic with Tiptronic® and Sport mode is available, with a Launch Control Program. The GTI receives an EPA-estimated 21mpg city and 31mpg highway.
