The 2011 Volkswagen Golf is available in two different trim levels, based on engine: 2.5L and TDI. The 2.5L has a 2.5-L, 20-valve DOHC in-line 5-cylinder engine with 170hp and a 5-speed manual transmission. The TDI has a 2.0-L, 16-valve in-line 4-cylinder turbocharged TDI Clean Diesel engine with common rail direct injection with 140 hp and a 6-speed manual transmission. 6-speed automatic transmissions are available for both trim levels.
