The 2011 Volkswagen Jetta is available in four different trim levels: S, SE, SEL and TDI Clean Diesel. The Jetta S has a 2.0-L, 8-valve, SOHC 4-cylinder engine with 115hp and a 5-speed manual transmission. The Jetta SE and SEL have a 2.5-L, 20-valve, DOHC in-line 5-cylinder engine with 170hp and a 5-speed manual transmission. The Jetta TDI Clean Diesel has a 140hp 2.0-L, 16-valve in-line 4-cylinder TDI® Clean Diesel engine with common rail direct injection and a 6-speed manual transmission. The S, SE and SEL are available with a 6-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic® and Sport mode as well while the TDI Clean Diesel is also available with a 6-speed DSG® automatic transmission with Tiptronic® and Sport mode. The Jetta S, SE and SEL receive an EPA-estimated 23 mpg city and 33 mpg highway while the TDI Clean Diesel receives 30 mpg city and 42 mpg highway.
The 2011 Volkswagen Jetta comes equipped with many safety features, including exterior signal mirrors, Side Curtain Protection® airbags in the front and rear, Electronic Stability Control and a telescopic steering wheel that uses a tilt feature to properly adjust the steering wheel, placing the airbag in a more optimal position.
