The 2011 Volkswagen Touareg is available in two trim levels: the VR6 FSI and TDI. The Touareg VR6 FSI has a 3.6-L, 24-valve DOHC VR6 engine with direct fuel injection and 280hp. The TDI has a 3.0-L, 24-valve V6 TDI engine with 225hp. The Touareg has a 6-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic, Dynamic Shift Program (DSP), sport mode and low range gear. The VR6 receives an EPA-estimated 16mpg city and 23 mpg highway and the TDI receives an EPA-estimated 19mpg city and 28mpg highway.
